This wall is home to so much history and has some of the best views of the harbour. You will struggle to find a place that allows you closer to the incoming coal ships than this break wall.

Completely flat, great place for a push.
HINT: Great place to see the big coal ships come into Newcastle. Be sure to keep an eye open for the memorial plaques lining the wall, dedicated to all the ships that have run aground on the “oyster bank”. You may wish to visit the Maritime centre in Newcastle before coming here to learn some of the history so you are able to fully appreciate the history this stretch of water holds.
